Welcome to Soundview Realty!
I believe the best real estate service does not have to be managed by large corporate organizations. It is about having an agent who helps you get clear about your goals and desires, and then presents you with the opportunities to realize them. At the same time, I am sure your experience of real estate on Whidbey Island can also be fun.
After listening carefully to what is important to you, I take my knowledge of what is currently available and give you the lead in finding the right home or land.
I also know that sellers need to understand the market so they can price and place their property to get the best exposure. My first job is to make you feel well-grounded and educated, and from that place of power I use all the tools of the media and internet to bring the market to you!
Come experience a fresh approach and have success in your real estate transactions. This website is more about informing you, than promoting our agency.
Please take a few minutes to look through my site and be sure to take advantage of the many tools offered to you. However, no web site, large or small, can take the place of a top real estate broker. Not even mine! If you want to track inventory on your own there are plenty of other sites to help. Contact me directly for one-on-one expert help and advice.
I'm connected to the source off all information within Northwest Multiple Listing Service. That's my job.

Outside the Box...
This is a time when sellers are told to be cautious about expectations when listing their property.
We know folks who would like to sell, but have not been comfortable jumping in during this time of real estate uncertainty. They are on our radar. These are friends or family who have property they would sell if the right offer came along.
Buyers let Daniel know what they are looking for and he goes beyond the usual resources to identify unlisted properties that meet their criteria.
Our Whidbey Island community offers a wide range of activities to enjoy and ways to get involved. Visit our Community Links page for a sampling.
Market Trends - Fall 2020
2020 feels like a repeat of the 2008 run-up, without the artificial inflation of bad loans. We already had dwindling inventory before the pandemic set in. Half as many homes for sale compared to last year. Similar number of sales. Mid-range homes, $500-900,000 have multiple competitive offers. Buyers under $400,000 just don’t have much to choose from. Buyers need to be prepared to offer and negotiate up. Available land is shrinking as well. Builders, painters, carpenters, electricians, plumber, all are working at capacity. If you choose to build, you’ll have to be patient with the process. Things are busy at the county as well. Best to be prepared and persistent. It’s worth the effort!
